Christmas in July

You know those moments in life where you envisaged you’d have some downtime to put your feel up, relax, and maybe read a book for an entire day? I imagined experiencing a handful of “lazy days” during the winter school holidays, but so far… I’ve been busier than usual.

Between reclaiming the laundry and washing a huge amount of clothing (always fun during a cold, wet Melbourne winter) and celebrating my birthday (seems I’ve been partying all week!), I’ve been on-the-go since the school holidays started a fortnight ago!

Here’s a quick rundown of the past two weeks:

  • Housework.
  • Finally(!) submitted my Christmas manuscript to the publisher.
  • Shopped with Miss F for necessities and fun things (like popcorn containers for the fancy Movie Night she organised on the evening of my birthday!).
  • Enjoyed a fun but tiring (almost five hours of driving) round trip visiting family.
  • Office work (the Australian financial year ends on 30 June).
  • Discovered Broken Spirit shortlisted as a finalist in the Omega Writers CALEB Awards, which left me stunned for a few hours. I’m still trying to wrap my head around this wonderful surprise! 🤩
  • More work. 😉

Maybe I’ll get to read next week?

Speaking of reading, my Christmas novella called A Sun-Drenched Christmas (Anna Beaufort’s story!) is available to read now! 🥳

Once Upon a Christmas Romance includes eight brand new Christian romance novellas and costs 99c in America ($1.48 in Australia). It’s also available for borrowing through Kindle Unlimited.

For a quarter the price of a takeaway coffee, why not spoil yourself and enjoy some Christmas in July?

Until next time,
