Yep, winter is here.
For those living across the globe, enjoy your summer. But while you do, remember me, swaddled in layers of clothing, emitting cloudy white dragon breaths.

Whether you’re hibernating for the winter or embarking on a summer vacation, here are some books you may enjoy.
Autumn’s Serenade by Dora Hiers. Ms Hiers is the queen of faith-filled small-town romance, and Luke and Tinsley’s best-friends-to-more tale was a joy to read! Although this is the third book in the Autumn Hearts in Apple Blossom series, it is standalone material. The romance is sweet, with a cast of interesting characters—some experiencing teenage angst!—and lots of yummy kisses.
Merritt and Her Childhood Crush by Emma St Clair & Jenny Proctor. A fabulous second book in the Oakley Island Romcom series, you might recall book one sparked a tumble of my thoughts. 🙊 Returning to Oakley Island was a delight, with Merritt and Hunter’s banter lightening the heavy history between them. A second chance romance with heart transformations, swoony kisses, and one loveable raccoon.
Insta Connection by Jen Atkinson. I discovered Ms Atkinson last month (check out Insta Boyfriend, the funny and heart-warming first book in The Insta series) and loved Ebony and Jet’s sports-themed romance. Their chemistry was delicious, their texts and online chats were fun to follow, along with their interactions with other wonderful characters. Even though I’m not much of a sports fan, I became invested in this story.
Somebody to Lean On by Jess Mastorakos. I’ve reviewed several books by Ms Mastorakos (here) and enjoy anything she writes. This slow burn best-friends-to-lovers romance between ex-military comrades had me glued to the story. The complexities and personal issues keeping them apart helped weave a more satisfying, realistic tale. Their chemistry and banter certainly didn’t harm things, either. Throw in a precocious youngster and quirky neighbours, and this romance ticks many boxes.
