The school year ended for my girls’ last week and we now have six weeks of summer holidays ahead! Despite being on holiday, I feel like I’ve been busier than normal. What’s with this time of year?
Thankfully, my days have been more relaxed, and I’ve only woken to an alarm a few times… one perk of working from home. Even with crazy days of shopping, baking and ordering school textbooks, I breezed through one particular morning after I was naughty and read until 2AM.
Totally worth the sleep loss.
Jody Hedlund’s third Waters of Time split time romance, Stay With Me, released last week. And, wowee, was it a fabulous read!
I blogged about the first two books earlier this year after I caught Will Fever. *swoons*
Just as I hoped back in January, this story involves another swoony knight… Sir Nicholas! He was more wonderful than I thought he’d be. So much so, I suffered a bout of Nicholas Fever while reading this thrilling book. This series should include a warning: hazardous to one’s blood pressure.
Stay With Me follows Sybil, a private investigator introduced in Ellen’s story. She’s brave and confident, an intelligent woman who thinks on her feet and runs headlong after answers. Traits common and welcome in contemporary society, but not so much in the 1380s.
Lucky for readers, Nicholas discovers that a capable, brave lady is very appealing to him.
The chemistry between Sybil and Nicholas rivals Will and Marian in Come Back to Me, and the sizzling explosion of attraction sparks right off the bat. Perhaps this book should include another warning: read beside a bucket of cold water to dunk your head.
If you’ve read my blog for a while, you’ll know I enjoy my sweet romance with spice. Who said Christian, “clean” or closed-door fiction can’t steam up your Kindle with some delicious kisses? I can attest that this series contains more chemistry than my Year 8 science class ever did.
Apart from the magnetic energy between the hero and heroine, this adventure through time introduces us to Sybil’s family (whom I believe star in the next book!) and reminds us that Nicholas must be adopted. Hah. It’s an exhilarating and nail-biting story, with a pile of dreadful situations, too. Spoiler Alert: I wished death upon one particular character. Don’t judge me, you’ll probably think the same when you read this book.
So, what are you waiting for? Dive into another era and enjoy this masterful tale.
Until next time,
Thank you! Love your review! 🙂
😍 Don’t mind me fangirling a moment…
I ADORE this book series, and the chemistry between your characters inspires my writing. It’s just… so good!
Looking forward to “Wait For Me”!
I literally just finished Stay With Me yesterday! It was SUCH a good read!
It was fabulous, wasn’t it, Abbigail? I love this series so much!
