Celebrating Aussie Authors

Today is Australia Day, so it’s the perfect time to highlight some home-grown authors.

Instead of sharing reviews of romances I’ve read, I thought I’d spotlight books I’m looking forward to reading which are waiting in my reading app or on my bookshelf.

Carolyn Miller’s Muskoka Shores and Northwest Ice series: I’m actually embarrassed to admit I own these ebooks but not read any yet. 🙈 I love Carolyn Miller’s writing style (I’ve reviewed some of her other books here and here), so I know these books will be fabulous! The Love Penalty, which is the second book in the Northwest Ice series, released yesterday.

Out of the Cages by Penny Jaye: This gritty YA novel about human trafficking is sitting in our library book borrowing pile in the lounge room. I had this novel on request at my local library for over six months before it finally became available to collect earlier in January, so I’m busting to read this soon. I’ve heard great things about this story!

The multi-author Trinity Lakes Romance series: I’m looking forward to reading these Christian romances by familiar Australian and New Zealand authors Narelle Atkins, Meredith Resce, Lisa Renee and Carolyn Miller (again!). My girls adore Jenny Glazebrook’s teen fiction, so I’m excited to read her romance, as well as Iola Goulton’s debut, which is currently in the running for an award with the Australian Romance Readers Association! 🥳

Heart in the Clouds by Jennifer Mistmorgan: This exciting-looking debut WWII historical romance released in September last year. I’ve been so close to reading it several times, but an ARC or NetGalley book would hit my inbox and I’d read them first. Such is the topsy-turvy life of reading, but I’m aiming to read and review it soon!

Have you read any of these books or other novels by these authors? Let me know in the comments below.

Until next time,
