More Christian Romance & Women’s Fiction Book Recs

I’ve hidden in my writing cave the past few weeks, focused on completing the last book in The Tellarine Series—which I hope to release before Christmas—so I’ve not read much fiction recently.

Tragic, I know. The reading part, not the writing part. 😉

But, fear not! The few books I read in August and September were fabulous. Here are my recommendations:

Forever After All by Mandi Blake is the last instalment of the Wolf Creek Ranch series, a fabulous friends-to-more Christian cowboy romance with elements of suspense. I reviewed another book in the series back in March. Ms Blake saved the best for last with Jess and Linc’s “will they, won’t they” journey, their haunting pasts blocking the happiness they could experience together. Their struggles and triumphs drew me in as they both coped with truckloads of baggage, which affected them differently.

The Happy Life of Isadora Bentley by Courtney Walsh is a heartwarming standalone novel about a beautiful, broken university researcher learning to celebrate life by stepping out of her isolation and opening herself to friendship. This Christian women’s fiction tale pulled my heartstrings and left me smiling. Isadora’s new friends—Marty, Darcy, Delilah, and Cal—were also bright stars shining in this book with their authenticity and love.

A Love Redefined by Dora Hiers kicks off the Second Chance Love in Butterfly Bend series about love in every season of life. This Christian romance focuses on two semi-retirees in their sixties and seventies, taking a chance on new love. Beryl and Ford’s story was engaging, with a fun food-focused storyline, fabulous beach scenery, and relatable—and sometimes quirky—characters encouraging the leads to trust one another, even during the tough times.

Until next time,
